RotG/GoC fan species: Golden Armies' Mounts

Description

So, I've seen a few pictures of Kozmotis on a horse.  But lol, the books say that the Golden Age was in a distant galaxy and that Earth was unchartered.  Sooo I ended up getting inspiration for a species of mount for the GA XD Not that I'm bashing those pics or anything -- they're all awesome :3 -- I just thought it'd be cool to make one X3.  And yes, I'm aware that they look like a Goodra crossed with a Gallimimus XD.

So, without further adieu, I present~:

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Soolashâi

Singular:  Soolash

*~  range in color from any blue or purple hue.  Spots are usually a darker shade than base color or a darker shade of the opposite color (I.e., a blue one with purple spots).
*~ they can reach top speed, which rivals a cheetah,  in just a few seconds.
*~ they're lighter than they look, actually.

*~ No one has been able to distinguish any sort of genders in them.

*~ Young are about 100 lbs. and somewhere around 5 ft. tall when first born; a standard human would reach somewhere around an adult's shoulders.

*~ Their vocalizations range is broad; i.e., a smooth 'aahoooo' call to great trumpeting and even painful shrieks.
*~ Spray an acid-like substance (thought to be excrement) from their tail tip, most often in self-defense.  Highly corrosive, especially to biological matter.
*~ great runners and jumpers: jump from all fours, run on two, graze on four
*~ graze on an odd ooze in the ground of select planets
*~ 2nd pair of antennae/tentacles, the longer pair, is used to detect surroundings; ie. scent, vibrations and currents, and *thought* to be an odd form of sight.
*~ their four assumed eyes are thought to be blind; they blink, oddly enough.
*~ their sheddings make good fire fuel and soap.  When made into a balm, the sheddings keep one cooler and less grimy, since it absorbs the skin's oils and makes dirt and such less likely to stay on the skin.  Whatever does, flakes off with the balm in a few hours.
*~ they dislike flowing water and large fires.  Tolerate camp fires if their rider is nearby.  Old texts and legends claim that they would dissolve in churning water and melt in *very* extreme heat.
*~ they 'sweat' an ooze in high heat.  Too long in such conditions and without the ooze they graze on makes them ill.  Unknown if it will kill them, as no one takes them into deserts on purpose or would let them be ill long enough to find out. (see above)
*~ they reproduce through a 'mucus hole' in their throat.  'Babies' are spit out pretty much in a mucus ball.  It is assumed that reproduction for Soolashâi is asexual.
*~ 1st antennae; shortest set.  Generally held by riders.  These are thought to be used to detect the rider's, and perhaps other herd members', emotions -- and maybe thoughts.  Again, little is known.
*~ 2nd antennae; longer set.  Generally spread out or move around during use.  Very Highly flexible.
*~ they are slightly slimy to the touch (except one their antennae sets), more so in extreme weather.
*~ startle easy around strangers.  Therefore, a handler(s) is assigned to them since birth so that someone will always be able to quell them and tend to them easily.
*~ they have a nose 'fin' that retracts in and out of the front of their muzzle.  Approx. 1 ft. I. Diameter; bowl-shaped, attached to a small, cone-like, hard appendage.  Almost resembles a satellite dish.  It has a tusk on each of its six points which curve forward.  Approx. 2 in. Long.
*~ above average diggers
*~ They have seemed to like Star Pilots a lot, and (albeit not as much, but still prefer) Star Borns.
*~ Since they were rare before the War of Fears, little was known or understood about Soolashâi.  Their population oddly boomed on some planets as the War of Fears kicked up.  The people of the Golden Age still didn't know or understand much about them, but when the population increased the Soolashâi's useful aspects inspired use as mounts in the Golden Armies, where more was learned about them.  After the Exodus to the Milky Way Galaxy, they were never seen, although most think they still exist in the Old Galaxy.
